Travel Size Toothpaste & The Importance of Oral Hygiene

The day is finally here. It's time for some rest and relaxation.

For the next week, there are going to be NO problems.

The cell phone is staying at home, and for the next six days and seven nights your only worry is to let the sun, surf, and sand, take away as much stress as possible—and hopefully not add any future stress in the process.

Poor oral health care when your traveling can not only put a damper on the fun, but  can create future problems as well. If you don’t take care of your mouth by brushing and flossing on a regular basis, germs can build up and cause problems for you down the road.

When you travel, it is important to make sure you don’t ignore your oral health. There are several tips travel experts recommend that will help keep your teeth clean on the road:

2. Protect your toothbrush. You don’t want it to get dirty in your bag, and make sure it is dry as well. A wet brush can breed bacteria.
3. If you're not certain the water is going to be clean enough to brush with, pack disposable items that do not need water.
4. Even if the water is going to be fine, pack disposables. It doesn’t hurt to have a back-up.
5. Store your toothbrush in an upright container and somewhere dery. So water left behind won't run down the shaft and turn your brush into a breeding ground for germs.
